Belden Farmstand comes from a long history of farming in the Pioneer Valley. Our family has been cultivating the land, caring for animals, and delivering the freshest local products since 1661, across 13 generations of farmers. Today, we are pleased to carry on that tradition with an eye towards sustainability and stewardship. Our milk is sent to our co-op Agri-Mark and is used for local milk around Massachusetts and for Cabot cheese. We currently offer beef and milk-based soaps for sale on the farm.
Since its inception, our farm has provided many different local products to the community. Broomcorn, onions, strawberries, cucumbers, beef, potatoes, and sheep are just some of what the farm offered in the past. We launched a voluntary robotic milking system in our 2017 dairy barn, with 3 DeLaval milking robots in a guided flow system. We also have an anaerobic methane digester on site that started producing renewable electricity for the community in the summer of 2019 by recycling manure from our cows and food waste from local companies. We have been proud Agri-Mark members since its inception and look forward to continuing to steward our land responsibly with the future in mind.
